I moved to a new condo a few months ago and I really wanted to make sure that my new place had the right energy, especially since we have been staying home a lot. I find myself always updating or rearranging things according to my energy. Its definitely made all the difference in my mood when I come home. You don’t really realize how much of an impact your personal space will have on you and your day until you start to understand Feng Shui.
Having the right energy in your space does not have to be difficult.
Here are some tips to help with easy ways to create some positive energy thru your home.
Your entryway:
The entrance to your home is the first thing you see when you get there. How does it make you feel? Is it cluttered? Cozy? Start with this area. I love a great console table. They can be very versatile especially if you love the holidays like me.
Here are some inspiration photos of cute and simple ideas.
2. Your bedroom:
The bedroom should be comfortable, tidy, and inviting. We spend a lot of time in here and it is the first thing we see when we wake up.
- Bedding is very important… make sure that you get a nice set that makes you feel cozy. Splurge on the nice sheets, I promise it is worth it. It is also important that you wash your bedding at least every 2 weeks. Who doesnt love clean linens fresh out of the dryer?
- Artwork The art in your space can make up your whole theme. I personally love a good statement piece that catches the eye right when you walk in. Pick a painting or picture that makes you smile when you see it.
3.Lighting in your home
- Bulbs in your fixtures:

- I think its crucial that you go with the bulbs that you like best. Bad ighting can ruin your entire mood. I like LED bulbs for the areas where you need brither lighting. I have also been known to go with the Edison bulbs for a more modern look.
- Himalayan Salt lamps

Himalayan salt lamps are crystals carved from amber-colored rock salt, hollowed out to fit a lightbulb inside. When you light them, they give out a warm, reddish-pink glow. I find these lamps very calming and I truly do believe that they clean the air.
4.Plants, Plants, Plants!
Houseplants are the most simple way to raise your energy in your home. Not only do they look nice they literally clean your air for you!

For plants I would recommend going to your nearest local plant nursery. I try to encourage shopping local if possible for this kind of thing to support them, and they usually have a great selection!
